Jackson & Perkins: Own-Root Roses are Hybrid Tea, Floribunda and Grandiflora Roses that are grown on their own roots, instead of being grafted onto a different variety of rootstock.

Own-Root Roses
are easy to maintain
You don't have to be a rose expert to grow these vigorous, one-year-old beauties – they're almost foolproof! No special care or pruning is needed – you can shape them with hedge clippers! Young roots are more flexible, so planting is easier, and plants suffer less transplant shock.

Own-Root Roses are especially great for cold weather regions.
Because Own-Root Roses are grown on their own roots, there's no bud union. This characteristic means that if the plant freezes above ground, its roots will still thrive, producing new growth and flowers that are true to type. This makes for a very vigorous, hardy plant on a much deeper, healthier root system, with more blooms per branch and more branches per bush.
